Dozens Evacuated After Hazmat Situation at Wilmington Food Plant

A hazardous materials situation prompted evacuations from a food manufacturing plant Monday night in Wilmington, Massachusetts.

Firefighters responded to Monogram Gourmet Foods on Ballardvale Street. A hazmat crew was on the scene.

Dozens of people were being ushered from the building.

According to its website, Monogram Gourmet Foods, based in Memphis, acquired the Wilmington facility in April of 2016. It makes food products under brand names such as Wild Bill’s, Bull’s, King Cotton and Circle B, among others.
