Large Piece of Ice Shatters Car’s Windshield on Maine Highway

A large chunk of ice flew off of a car traveling on a Maine highway Saturday, shattering the windshield of another car.

According to Maine State Police, Kristin Harmon was driving on I-95 in Houlton when she went to pass a slower moving car. As she was passing, a big chunk of ice flew off Rose Rodriguez’s car and went through Harmon’s windshield, police said.

The two subsequently pulled over on the side of the highway.

Rodriguez was issued a traffic summons for the insecure load on her car, police said.
