Cold Front to Bring Scattered Showers, Rumbles of Thunder Overnight

We continue to track a cold front across the Appalachians this evening. This front will bring us scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder overnight. Meanwhile, an east southeast wind will help to carry in a few developing showers and areas of fog and or drizzle while keeping temperatures in the 50s.

Overnight rainfall will taper off by mid-morning for southern New England and we will be left with about 0.25” to 0.50” of rain. Northern New England will see a little more rainfall and lingering showers across Maine through early afternoon around the center of low pressure.

The wind direction changes for tomorrow and will be a tad gusty from the west. Sunshine breaks out across the northeast from west to east and the temperatures will reach the mid to upper 60s south, 50s north.

The milder air settles in for Thursday too with highs in the 60s and sunshine. A quick low pressure system moves through Friday into Saturday, bringing scattered showers in.

This looks to dissipate for late afternoon through Saturday night. However, a coastal low may form to our south and track near southern New England on Sunday. This is uncertain in the forecast, so stay tuned for updates! Both days look to be in the 50s for highs.

Tuesday will be a dry day next week with highs in the 50s through the rest of the 10-day forecast.

Halloween may bring some cooler temperatures and a possible wintry mix north.
