Fiery Crash Shuts Down Southbound Lanes of Route 24

A vehicle was fully engulfed in flames Wednesday morning following a car crash on Route 24 in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

The blaze happened at approximately 6:30 a.m. on the southbound lanes of the highway. NBC10 Boston’s Sky Ranger helicopter was over the scene, where thick smoke could be seen emitting from the flames.

A second damage vehicle could be seen on the other side of the highway.

Authorities confirmed they are en route to the scene. All southbound lanes of Route 24 have been shut down due to the fire.

It is unclear if any injuries occurred. Details on what led up to the crash were not immediately available.
